Doron Selinger, known as Dory, graduated from California State University, Dominguez Hill's NCOPE Prosthetic Program. His experience includes 31 years as a below-the-knee amputee and 28 years working in the Prosthetics and Orthotics (O&P) field. He worked as an O&P technician while completing his BA at the University of California, Berkeley. Dory is a below the-knee amputee cyclist who won the Gold Medal in cycling and set three cycling World Records at the 1996 Paralympics in Atlanta, GA. During this time, he helped develop a cycling leg with an adjustable socket that continues to be used for all ages and types of people and activities other than cycling.

Dory’s passion is working with patients and their families. He listens, supports, instructs, demonstrates, and offers device options to facilitate recovery and functional ambulation/movement. His goal is to improve prosthetic/orthotic design for comfort, fit, stability and function to ensure patients’ consistent use of their devices.

Dory is acutely aware of the psychological and physical importance of reestablishing stability, mobility and function after limb loss or dysfunction. He works with all age groups and is as attentive and dedicated to an infant’s cranial helmet and an individual's Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as he is to elite athletes pushing their limits. His goal is to provide Prosthetics/Orthotics that meet or exceed individuals’ pre-prosthetic and/or orthotic functioning. Dory joined Evergreen Prosthetics and Orthotics professional team in 2023!
