Meet Our Team
Chad Overcash, CPO/LPO
Chad joined the Evergreen family in Tennessee in 2016 as a Prosthetist/Orthotist and Clinic Manager but relocated to North Carolina in January 2023 to take over as the Clinic Manager for our New Bern, Jacksonville, Morehead City and Goldsboro clinics.
Chad completed his graduate studies in Prosthetics & Orthotics in 2012 at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. Prior to that he achieved his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from The University of North Carolina in Wilmington, NC. Chad has been working with amputees for over ten years and has significant experience in a number of available treatments for amputees, including microprocessor technology. He is passionate about working with every patient to customize their care, in a way that will maximize their mobility function. He states, ‘’The first thing of utmost importance to me personally is to listen to my patients. I need to make them aware of their options and allow them to be part of every decision regarding their plan of care.” Chad and his wife Tiffany have 4 young children. In his spare time, Chad enjoys the beach and spending time with his family.
Missy Salmons
Missy has been a part of the Prosthetic & Orthotic field for over 20 years. She joined the Evergreen team in April 2022. Missy has lived in Eastern North Carolina her whole life and enjoys country living. She is very passionate about patient care and ensuring every patient is provided excellent service.
She feels the O & P field is very rewarding and enjoys being a part of the success of each patient and developing relationships with each patient and supporting family members. Missy and her husband David have 3 children and 1 grandchild and their sweet chocolate lab Remi. She enjoys reading, sitting on her front porch, relaxing by the pool in the summertime and Hallmark movies during Christmas time.
Jennifer Wagaman
Jennifer joined Evergreen Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2022 as a Provider Relations Manager. She is a proud military spouse and a mother of two amazing children, one of them being an amputee. Jennifer has a passion for helping others receive the services, care, and support they deserve. She has been a part of the Prosthetics and Orthotics world since 2013.
Prior to joining Evergreen, she worked for Alliance Fitness Center in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. Jennifer is a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach. She understands the vital importance of one’s quality of life and is devoted to serve Evergreen's patients by providing them support to the best of her ability. As a mother of an amputee, she understands the importance of excellent patient care and peer support, and she is committed to seeing that Evergreen's patients receive the highest quality of service. Outside of work Jennifer enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two children.
James Davis, COF
James joined the Evergreen family in 2022 in eastern North Carolina and serves hundreds of patients each month as a Certified Orthotic Fitter. James attended the lTT Technical Institute for engineering in electronics. He then worked in the construction industry for several years..
where he was introduced to the Orthotics & Prosthetics field James started as a Lab Technician and served in this position for 8 years.In 2015 he attended the Ossur School for Continuing Education where he obtained his certification as a BOC Orthotic Fitter. James enjoys working with his patients and being an intricate part of their care and success. James has two boys and enjoys spending time with them. Living in Eastern North Carolina, he also enjoys offshore fishing and the Crystal Coast.
Michael R. Cooper, MSPO, EP-C
Cooper joined the Evergreen family in North Carolina in 2023 as a Prosthetic/Orthotic Resident. Cooper completed his graduate studies in Prosthetics and Orthotics at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. Prior to that he achieved his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Kennesaw State University.
Cooper has a background in neuromuscular research in aging populations as well as evidence-based practice with outcome measures. He is passionate about helping patients achieve their personal goals and realize their true potential. He states, “Everyone is a super star in their own way, but if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will always live its life as if it is a failure.” Cooper and his German Shepherd spend their free time modeling railroads and chewing on tennis balls.
Kate Grylicki, MPO
Kate Grylicki began her prosthetics and orthotics residency with Evergreen in April 2024. She completed a Master’s degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in her home state of Colorado where she studied Biomedical Science at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Kate has a background in gerontology, pediatric adaptive fitness, and research on Osteoarthritis development in the sound limb in lower limb prosthesis users. Kate is passionate about empowering individuals in their rehabilitation journey by helping them achieve their mobility goals, and values each and every patient relationship. Kate enjoys reading, live music, and being outdoors.
Nickol Daley
Nickol joined Evergreen Prosthetics & Orthotics in 2022. She has been a part of the orthotics & prosthetics field for 14 years and enjoys providing excellent customer service to each patient. Nickol has developed a wonderful relationship in Eastern NC with her patients and referrals sources which is crucial in providing the patients with efficient, quality care.
Nickol is very proud of her 2 children which are both enlisted in different branches of the military. When she is not working, she enjoys our beautiful crystal coast beaches and boating over to Cape Lookout. She adores her sweet little Chihuahua Gizmo.
Lexi Chestner
Lexi joined Evergreen Prosthetics & Orthotics in June of 2022 as a Patient Service Representative in our Jacksonville and Goldsboro offices. She has worked in the customer service field for over 10 years and loves helping patients get the best care possible,
starting with a cheerful hello. Outside of work, Lexi enjoys spending time with her husband Zack, her two boys, her dogs, as well as her friends and family.
Denise Combs
Denise serves as the Patient Service Representative in our Goldsboro, NC office, where she has lived her entire life. She has worked in the medical field for over 35 years from primary care to specialty clinics, while owning her own business as a medical transcriptionist. Additionally, she taught medical terminology classes at the local community college, where she earned her degree.
Her desire to help others fueled her interest and kept her an integral part of the medical field in Goldsboro. Denise is married to Keith for over 35 years, and they have 2 married children and grandchildren. They enjoy traveling and spending time with their family. Denise loves calling Goldsboro home and is excited to help patients in Goldsboro and surrounding areas with Evergreen Orthotics and Prosthetics.
Kelli Lawrence
Kelli joined Evergreen Prosthetics & Orthotics in April 2024 as a Patient Service Representative in our Morehead City Office. She has worked in the customer service field her entire life and loves meeting, interacting with and helping people. Outside of working, Kelli enjoys shooting pool and playing with her dozen fur babies.
Kelli has 1 daughter who's going off to college that she loves spending quality time with among traveling to softball fields and watching her daughter and teammates play fast pitch. Kelli's favorite holiday is Christmas as she finds it to be magical and loves decorating for it and being able to curl up next to a fire and watch Hallmark Christmas movies.
Benno Baumhardt
Benno grew up in the Quad Cities and got into the O & P Field in 1990 with American Prosthetics. For 18 years, Benno took a position at Quad City O & P. From 2008 to 2014, he moved to Jacksonville, NC. In 2015, he worked for another company. From 2015 to 2023, Benno found his way to Evergreen,
where his experience has been beyond expectations. He says that the staff have no boundaries in the care they will give to the patient.
David Waring
David joined Evergreen Prosthetics & Orthotics in 2022. He prides himself on providing outstanding service to our Veterans and communicates directly with the VA purchasing agents to ensure they receive quality services from start to finish.
David also handles our shipping and receiving and works very diligently to make sure all patients items are ordered or sent for fabrication in a timely manner. David has been an amputee since he was a child and is very compassionate toward others facing any medical challenges and is often asked to talk with our patients. In his free time, he enjoys watching movies & tv shows, listening to music (especially from the 80’s) and playing his guitar. Around our office he is known as “the coffee man”, no one else makes the coffee like David.
