Your Team

Meet Your Practitioner

Patients are the priority at Evergreen Clinics. All of our locations are near major hospitals and each clinic has an on-site fabrication lab with trained technicians to help speed the delivery of quality products and care. Our exceptional team of Patient Care Coordinators are ready to take your call, and schedule your next appointment. Walk-in patients are always welcome and practitioners are on call 24/7 for any hospital emergencies. Meet the extraordinary people that set Evergreen Prosthetics and Orthotics apart from the rest. Each of the managing practitioners are board certified by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics.

Christopher Fuhrmeister, CPO

Serving Oregon City

Christopher has been a CPO since 2014, but has been in the field for much longer, getting his start as a technician. When looking for a career where he could use his hands, he thought of the braces his godmother wore and realized prosthetics & orthotics was a perfect fit.

He finds that the best part of the job is being able to meaningfully improve people’s lives. He enjoys working with a patient’s care team to find the best solution for them.

A native Portlander, on the weekends you can find Christopher enjoying time outdoors with his wife and their two children.

Alex Gates, CPO

Serving Spokane County & surrounding areas

Alex has been in the field since 2008. She specializes in elevated vacuum lower extremity prosthetics sockets, as well as microprocessor knees and ankles.

“It’s so rewarding to watch a patient transform after meeting them during a difficult time in their life,” she says. She loves to watch her patients regain abilities they had feared were lost, and to see them years down the line doing better than they had ever imagined.

Alex came to Spokane for her residency and loved it so much she decided to stay. Outside of work, her four kids, two dogs, and horse keep her life fun and interesting.

Katie Fisher, CPO

Serving Denver, Lakewood, and Aurora

Katie has been in the prosthetic & orthotic field since 2013, and specializes in prosthetics for athletes and pediatric care, specifically cranial remolding helmets.

“Walking is something a lot of people take for granted. I love being able to give that ability back to those who have lost it,” says Katie. Her favorite part of the job is watching a child be carried into the office, and seeing them run back out on their own.

When she’s not working with patients, you can find Katie enjoying the Colorado outdoors, hiking and skiing with her boyfriend and black lab, Riley.

Hobie O’Connor, CPO

Serving Lakewood and Aurora

Hobie has been a certified CPO for 10 years, but says he’s really been in the field since childhood, growing up in his father’s own prosthetics & orthotics clinic. He says the best part of the job is the look on a patient’s face when they walk for the first time.

Highly involved prosthetics cases, including computer controlled prosthetics in hands and lower extremities, are Hobie’s specialty. He also has experience with stance control KAFOs and devices with neuromuscular involvement..

Hobie has only recently moved to Colorado after being drawn by the opportunities for outdoor recreation. He enjoys spending time mountain biking and off-roading with his wife and their two children.

Al Jorgensen, CO

Serving Meridian, Caldwell, and Fruitland

Al has been working in orthotics for 20 years, and takes care of people “from the nose to the toes!” He’s passionate about being able to help others and making a difference in their abilities and their lives.

Al moved to Idaho in 2004 to be closer to family. He enjoys the climate and prefers Idaho over the hurricanes of Florida and the desert of Nevada.

When he’s not at the clinic you can find Al spending time with his family, making knives or perfecting his barbecue technique on brisket, ribs, pulled pork and more!

Sage Ripsom, CPO

Serving Meridian

Sage first earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology before going on to study Orthotics and Prosthetics. He has a passion for advancing the field through research - during his time at school, he led a multidisciplinary research group which was invited to present at the industry national conference. During his residency, he worked with local allied health members to develop an acute care post amputation guide, focusing on the team approach to patient care.

Since obtaining his CPO certification Sage has continued to grow as a practitioner through a variety of advanced training courses.

In the clinic Sage works hard to harbor a warm inviting environment. Outside the clinic, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two young children.
