Meet Evergreen's Founder and Owner
Tim O’Neill, CPO, CEO
Evergreen Prosthetics and Orthotics, LLC.
Tim O’Neill is the Owner and CEO of Evergreen Prosthetics and Orthotics, LLC., the leading and fastest growing Prosthetic and Orthotic practice in the Northwest. Expanding beyond the beautiful Pacific Northwest, with 25 clinic locations throughout the country including Oregon, Washington, Colorado (2015), Idaho, and Tennessee (2015), and Indiana (2018), Evergreen serves thousands of patients annually.
After growing up in Seattle, Washington, attending O’Dea High School, and graduating from the University of Washington (92’- 96’) - where he was highly involved in many post-curricular organizations and causes, including autism research and leading fund-raising campaigns for abused children - Tim moved to Portland where he created Evergreen Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2005, then founded Empire Medical Inc in 2009. His career, as a certified Prosthetist/Orthotist has spanned more than 20 years, practicing in psychiatric hospitals, pediatric hospitals, level-one trauma hospitals, nursing/rehabilitation, and outpatient centers throughout the Northwest.
Tim believes in a simple but powerful mission: clinical excellence and compassionate care. He is dedicated to implementing these pillars and addressing the lack of qualified services in many of our middle to low socioeconomic communities. Tim has committed considerable resources to become the most convenient and accessible prosthetics and orthotics provider in the Northwest.

Meet Your Practitioner
Christopher Fuhrmeister, CPO
Serving Oregon City
Christopher has been a CPO since 2014, but has been in the field for much longer, getting his start as a technician. When looking for a career where he could use his hands, he thought of the braces his godmother wore and realized prosthetics & orthotics was a perfect fit.
He finds that the best part of the job is being able to meaningfully improve people’s lives. He enjoys working with a patient’s care team to find the best solution for them.
A native Portlander, on the weekends you can find Christopher enjoying time outdoors with his wife and their two children.
Alex Gates, CPO
Serving Spokane County & surrounding areas
Alex has been in the field since 2008. She specializes in elevated vacuum lower extremity prosthetics sockets, as well as microprocessor knees and ankles.
“It’s so rewarding to watch a patient transform after meeting them during a difficult time in their life,” she says. She loves to watch her patients regain abilities they had feared were lost, and to see them years down the line doing better than they had ever imagined.
Alex came to Spokane for her residency and loved it so much she decided to stay. Outside of work, her four kids, two dogs, and horse keep her life fun and interesting.
Al Jorgensen, CO
Serving Meridian, Caldwell, and Fruitland
Al has been working in orthotics for 20 years, and takes care of people “from the nose to the toes!” He’s passionate about being able to help others and making a difference in their abilities and their lives.
Al moved to Idaho in 2004 to be closer to family. He enjoys the climate and prefers Idaho over the hurricanes of Florida and the desert of Nevada.
When he’s not at the clinic you can find Al spending time with his family, making knives or perfecting his barbecue technique on brisket, ribs, pulled pork and more!
Casey Gruber, CPO
Serving Denver, CO
Casey received a BS in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland and a Masters in Prosthetics and Orthotics from Northwestern University. He completed both his prosthetics and orthotics residencies at Evergreen clinics in Portland, Oregon. .
Casey’s number one priority as a practitioner is serving the patient. This means tailoring custom solutions for each person, to meet their goals and individual needs. He’s interested in exploring the ways that P&O can improve patients' quality of life by restoring mobility and functional independence.
Outside of work Casey is excited to spend time exploring Colorado. He’s always heard a calling from the Rocky Mountains. He and his wife love listening to live music and actively seek out new Bluegrass bands to support. When Casey is not working, exploring or listening to live music, you can typically find him caring for and playing with his three cats (Joni, Leonard and Pepper).
